The WindForS research cluster is coordinated by a full-time Director.
Dr. Andrew Clifton will be the new WindForS Director from 1 June, 2017.
From it’s inception in 2009 to early 2017, WindForS was coordinated by Andreas Rettenmeier at the University of Stuttgart Chair of Wind Energy. During this time WindForS developed and executed several projects. Recently, WindForS was awarded over €10 Million to design and build a field-test site in Swabian Alps in the WINSENT project. Andreas Rettenmeier has moved to ZSW – a WindForS partner and the lead institute on the WINSENT project – to led the WINSENT project.
From 1 June 2017, WindForS will be coordinated by Dr. Andrew Clifton. Dr. Clifton holds a Doctor of Science from ETH Zürich and brings 15 years of experience in energy and environmental fluid dynamics to this position.
