IEA Wind Task 32 Workshop on Using Lidar in Complex Terrain

  • News

Using wind lidar in complex terrain isn’t easy. The systems work well, but there isn’t much in the way of standards and not a lot of experience outside of research applications. Masts and towers are still popular. So, how can we leverage the strengths of wind lidar in complex terrain, and mitigate the challenges?

These and other questions were explored at an IEA Wind Task 32 meeting on Wind Lidar in Complex Terrain at the University of Stuttgart on November 8, 2017. More details can be found here.
