Throughout its long history, the Materials Testing Institute of the University of Stuttgart has contributed significantly to raising quality standards in the manufacturing of components and the safe operation of power plants. Examples are:

  • Development and verification of advanced numerical calculation methods
  • Investigation of strength, fracture and failure behavior under multiaxial load
  • Implementation and development of fracture mechanical calculation methods for integrity assurance
  • Development of the leak-before-break or basic safety concept

Accreditation – Notification – Recognition

  • Testing Laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
  • Calibration Laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
  • Certification Body for products in accordance with DIN EN 45011 and CPR
  • Notified Body in accordance with Construction Products Regulation (CPR)
  • Building supervisory recognized PÜZ body in accordance with State Building Codes (LBO)
