WindForS 2018 Spring Meeting

27 February 2018 - 01 March 2018

A three-day WindForS meeting will be held at the TU Munich city-centre campus from 27.2 – 1.3.2018. It will be a combination of science and strategy, and will include contributions from within WindForS and invited attendees.

Who

All WindForS members and all participants in WindForS projects, and selected external partners.

What

  • Share results from WindForS projects
  • Develop new projects
  • Share ideas for teaching and education

When

27 February – 1 March 2018

Format

This meeting is an “unconference”, driven by you. You get to decide what you want to talk about in breakout groups, and what you want to achieve.

To help make this happen we’ll have a bit of structure, but the choice of topics for the breakout sessions is with you.

So, whatever you want to discuss can be discussed. Let’s say you have a challenge in your project or Ph.D. that you’d like to talk about: just raise your hand and find people with similar problems or ideas, and use the time to work on what’s important to you.

There will be a poster board to collect ideas for each breakout session, and regular opportunities to propose more ideas.

If you want to find out more about this idea, it’s the “Open Space Technology” approach described by Harrison Owen. For more background, see wikipedia.

Registration

Registration was open to WindForS members and selected guests.

Fees

This meeting is free to WindForS members. Light snacks, tea, coffee, and water will be provided during the day.

Participants will have to cover the cost of travel and accommodation, and the Tuesday evening dinner.
