FreeModeling and measuring winds in complex terrain
Hosted by WindForS, this meeting brings together experts in measuring and modelling of winds in complex terrain. We’ll discuss open questions, old and new challenges, and opportunities for cooperation. We’ll also introduce the WindForS WINSENT complex terrain research site.
Is this meeting for me?
Are you measuring winds using tradition met masts, wind lidar or sodar, drones, UAVs, or some other method? Or are you modeling winds using mesoscale models, microscale models, or another tool? Then this is the meeting for you! Come along and share your experience and interests.
Programme
Do you want to contribute?
Posters and presentations are welcome on any work relevant to complex terrain wind measurement and modeling. It doesn’t have to be wind energy related. Feel free to bring along an old poster, too; there’s no need for something new!
